Altona Complete Dental Clinic was established in 1956 by brothers Dr. Ross and Dr. Leslie King, who have retired after years of professional and friendly service to the community. Dr. Refeek Zaki

Rafeek (Raf) has gained vast experience ranging from pain management to comprehensive treatment planning. He prides himself on work that combines the science and art of dentistry. He is passionate about providing high quality, gentle, personalised patient care as well as providing all the options and create a custom treatment plan for each patient to achieve and maintain his/her perfect healthy smile.

His central dentistry focus includes Crown and Bridge work, Restorative, Cosmetic Dentistry as well as Root Canal Treatment.
He treats each patient as if he/she is a family member, making sure the visit to the dentist is a positive experience. Rafeek believes that honesty and translucency are the shortest way to success. Rafeek has established an excellent reputation among the community for his kind manner as well as his commitment to his patient’s well-being and comfort.

Rafeek is fluent in both Arabic and English. In his spare time, Rafeek loves to spend time with his family, play squash and travel.

Dr. Phuong Dang

Dr. Phuong Dang, a University of Melbourne graduate with seven years of experience, specialises in restorative dentistry, clear aligners, and paediatric care. Fluent in Vietnamese, she values patient education and personalised treatment plans, considering lifestyle and financial needs. Recognised on the Dean’s Honours List, Dr. Dang is dedicated to creating positive, long-lasting dental health outcomes.

Dr. Mahmoud (Met) Metwally

BDS, ADC

Dr. Metwally is a second-generation dentist with a thriving career spanning over 10 years across multiple countries. His expertise includes Root Canal Treatments, which he employs to salvage severely damaged or dead teeth, and Cosmetic Dentistry, with a specialisation in veneers and crowns for smile enhancement.

His commitment to excellence is evident through his regular participation in professional development activities, such as courses and conferences. Dr. Metwally believes “prevention is better than cure,” a principle reflected in his practice of minimally invasive dentistry, ensuring early intervention and the preservation of natural dental structures.

Distinguished not only by his technical skills but also by his patient-centric approach, Dr. Metwally prioritises creating a comfortable experience, especially for those with dental anxiety. Outside his profession, he enjoys swimming and table tennis.
